Introducing Tempe!

This is Tempe. She was formally known as Temple in the "foster system" because she was found running loose at the Buddhist Temple in Baton Rouge. She had a collar however it did not have ID, she did not have a microchip and nobody came looking for her after she was held at Animal Control for the requisite time.
She is approximately 8 months old (estimated birth 9/2014) and thought to be boxer and bull terrier mix. She and my older boxer Evie get along great although I think Evie questions why I decided to bring a youngin into the Furkid Estate.
It has been a VERY LONG TIME since I have adopted a younger furkid, normally I adopt older furkids as they generally don't leave shelters as people want puppies and kittens. I also like the older furkids because they are usually calm, you can see their personality more, they are out of the puppy stage and trained to a point.
I decided to adopt a younger furkid this time because I am now in my second career. After 25 years I had to change professions and now am working as a professional pet sitter, something that I never saw coming however is a perfect fit. Tempe helps me remember my training skills and how to work with my clients with the puppy-type issues. She is definitely not short on helping me with brushing up on my training skills, as this blog will attest to our adventures!
Stay tuned!
